Granite is a natural stone, formed from cooled magma deep underground over millions of years. That slow cooling process is what creates its signature flecks and mineral crystals, along with a heat resistance that has made it a kitchen staple for decades.

Quartz, on the other hand, is engineered. It is made from ground quartz mixed with resin, which is why it comes in more uniform colors and patterns than granite's natural variation. Both are excellent materials. They are just built very differently, and we will walk you through which one fits your project when you visit the showroom.
